about
I took over drums and do vocals. This is post-music
recorded via macbook pro in one of the rehearsal spaces at Sweatshop
To see this madness for yourself, come to my shows! I'm playing Friday, January 4th at Talon bar in Bushwick Brooklyn, opening at 9pm and I'm playing January 30th at Caffeine Underground, also in Bushwick, at 8pm. Then I leave for Detroit! Come say hi/bye (I stayed an extra week cause I got on the bill at El Cortez feb 9th. It was sickkkk but nothing got recorded, bummer BUT I will be playing El Cortez again on May 23rd and Bootleg bar on May 1st before I leave for my 'rural America tour' !)
There's also a video of me playing Rosemary's Baby at Little Skips open mic taken by Brett Sullivan of American Anymen who is also a special guest in the Fuck Borders show tonight! (Forgot to list him in my news/letter - oops)
lyrics
America Was Never Great:
We could have been great
if greatness hadn't been broken
we could have been great
if America hadn't been stolen
we could have been great
if they didn't take our language
we could have been great
if the planet were never raped
we could be great if the fascists didn't print it on a hat hey
we could be great if there wasn't rise of the KKK hey
if the white house were demolished hey
and the people in it abolished hey
then we could get something accomplished
Smash this capitalism
smash this systematic oppression
smash your old thoughts if they keep kids and animals in cages who just wanna play
oh my god
that's all they say now
oh my god
good thing I don't believe in god
oh my god
I'm pretty sure your god ditched you so
fuck your patriotism
fuck your nationalism
fuck your job if it means the earth's destruction
fuck your old thoughts yeah
fuck your grandparents if they were bigoted
fuck your blue collar if it means you were a shoulder to a post-fact reality
oh my god
we could have been great
if greatness hadn't been stolen

Rosemary's Baby
Rosemary had a baby
she was very happy
but her baby was abducted for satan
and sacrificed upon an altar by its father so
what's it to you
for me to breed
what are you planning to do with my offspring
cause I don't have the means then I guess you'll take it to
your alternative alter
and do what you after
a future of mcdonald's workers
will help you keep all your rifles
*The NRA and NSA and the feds are all about it
and the CEOs and the aristocracy knows
whose got the power
but we're taking it back
So get the fuck out of my womb
no grown persons in there
get the fuck out of my way
I have an appointment
it's none of your business
So get the fuck out of our way
we have appointments
we're not giving you our babies
cause we're not fucking Rosemary
and we won't be force bred
*not in this recording, I cut it out while I was going and think it works better without it. I still think it's relevant though
